Mr. Bellum has over 38 years of industry experience in mining and related fields including 18 years in executive management with a focus on increased productivity, cost reduction, and increased profitability of operations throughout the world. He is experienced in all facets of the business including sales, marketing, operations, engineering, construction, mine development and mineral exploration. He has extensive experience in strategic planning, project evaluation, financial analysis and feasibility studies. Prior to joining Behre Dolbear, Mr. Bellum was Executive Vice-President of Cyprus Minerals Company, an international mining company. Prior to that he worked for Kennecott Copper Company and Utah International. Mr. Bellum recently served as President and CEO of USMX, Inc. a publicly-held US gold mining company. During his career, he has been responsible for copper, molybdenum, gold, zinc, iron ore, industrial minerals and uranium operations as well as exploration and corporate development departments. He has been responsible for operating revenues exceeding $700 million; operating profits of more than $150 million; producing over 600 million pounds of copper, 150,000 ounces of gold, 25,000 tons of zinc and 2 million tons of iron per year; in operations ranging in size from 200 tpd to 100,000 tpd with over 3,000 employees located in U.S., Mexico, Australia, Europe, New Zealand, and Japan.
